Our Story

Dao Thanh Binh — the founder of Salon Binh Minh — didn't start his journey in Da Nang. For five years before 2019, he lived and worked in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), serving as the manager of one of the city's well-known hair extension salons. During those five years, he built deep expertise not only in advanced hair extension techniques, but also in running a truly professional salon operation — from training technicians and maintaining quality standards, to learning how to listen and give honest advice for every hair type and lifestyle. That foundation in Saigon is what shaped his understanding of the difference between an ordinary hair shop and a genuinely professional salon.

In 2019, he made the decision to return to his hometown of Da Nang with a clear goal: to open a hair extension salon that met Saigon-level professional standards right at the beach city — where that level of specialization was still largely absent. Salon Binh Minh opened at 36 Nguyen Duy Hieu with a philosophy that has never changed: never use synthetic hair, never quote inflated prices, and never push clients into something that doesn't suit their actual hair condition. Sometimes that means recommending that a client wait for their hair to recover before adding extensions — even if it costs a sale that day. Binh believes that honesty is the only foundation for long-term trust — and the reason clients come back.

The Expert Behind the Salon

Dao Thanh Binh — salon owner and lead technician — has over 10 years of experience in the hair industry, including 5 years managing a salon in Saigon and more than 6 years running Salon Binh Minh in Da Nang. Drawing on his management background from Saigon, he built the salon as a complete professional service system: every technician undergoes direct training and at least 6 months of supervised practice before serving clients independently. Binh regularly updates his skills through specialist training to ensure the salon always applies the best available extension methods. The current team of four specialists covers hair extensions, coloring, and restoration — all capable of communicating in English for international clients.
